UniBond 110



UniBond110 is a single component and single coat, moisture cure bonding agent used to promote adhesion to dicult to bond surfaces such as glass, ceramic tiles, porcelain, steel, aluminum, brass, concrete and even some plastics. It is designed to be used as supplied and there is no mixing or dilution required prior to use. The cured lm is barely perceptible and forms a permanent bond with the coated surface. It has been specially formulated to help with the bonding of Liquiguard’s unique restoration and enhancement coatings such as SealCote and GlazeRenu for bathtubs, showers, sinks and similar objects.


UniBond110 is a clear yellow liquid with a viscosity slightly greater than that of water and a density of approximately 7.5lbs/gallon. It has a broad range of applications by functioning as a primer for a variety of polar surfaces described above. For most applications a single coat is sucient. UniBond110 hydrolyzes in moist air and therefore the ambient humidity will aect the cure time. In most instances 10 to 15 minutes of cure time should be adequate prior to application of the top coat. A typical bathtub would require 4oz of UniBond110.


UniBond110 may be applied by spraying, dipping or brushing. To ensure best adhesion to glass, clean the target surface with a vinegar-modied glass cleaner. Most other surfaces should be wiped with an alcohol or similar material. When application is over large areas make sure there is adequate ventilation. Use of safety glasses and gloves is strongly recommended. For best adhesion, apply top coat within 24 hours after primer application. Each gallon of UniBond110, when properly applied, should provide coverage 1000 square feet or more of non-porus surface.


UniBond110 can be cleaned with alcohol or toluene while the coating is wet. Removal of the cured primer requires mechanical means such as abrasion, blasting or grinding. Shelf life of UniBond110 is at least one year from date of shipment when stored in well ventilated, dry environments with ambient temperatures in between 70-80°F. It is recommended for use by trained personnel using necessary precautions for solvent based materials.
